Born from military roots and a desire to create something different, The Team Room isn’t just another gun shop—it’s a community hub designed with intention and purpose. The Team Room opened its doors on March 15th, 2024, but the vision began taking shape overseas in 2023 when the founder was discussing the concept with friends. The idea was simple yet revolutionary: create a firearms establishment that prioritizes relationships over transactions.
More Than Just a Gun Shop
What sets The Team Room apart is its thoughtful design and atmosphere. Walking in, you’ll notice displays set up like lockers on modular walls that can be reconfigured based on specific department needs. Whether showcasing high-profile or low-profile setups, the flexibility mirrors the adaptability valued in tactical environments.
The space incorporates industrial fridges where teammates can prepare food, and there are even showers in the bathrooms—a practical addition for those coming from hunting trips, gym sessions, or jiu-jitsu training. This attention to detail reflects the founder’s understanding that a community space should accommodate real-life needs.
Quality Through Collaboration
Perhaps the most telling aspect of The Team Room’s philosophy is their approach to products. While many shops build their selections to maximize margins, The Team Room has taken a different path—one focused on providing customers with proven, duty-ready equipment through strategic partnerships.
Their first collaboration was with Sons of Liberty Gun Works (SOLGW), a bold move for a new establishment. Rather than opening immediately, The Team Room delayed their launch until March 2024 to ensure they had their signature SOLGW rifles in stock. This decision, described as “going big or going home,” paid off tremendously, with first-year sales exceeding all expectations.
The Team Room’s SOLGW rifle was designed with practical use in mind. After testing a few prototypes in November 2023, they settled on offering both a 13.7” and11.5” platform that balances CQB handling with the ability to reach out at distance. The rifle and pistol represented exactly what The Team Room stands for—equipment that any department officer or civilian defender can trust their life with.
Building Industry Connections
The Team Room’s reputation grew quickly. Just a month after opening, they were asked to host the kickoff event for SOFWEEK in Tampa, featuring industry leaders like Black Triangle Group, Trained Monkey, Cloud Defensive, Grey Birch, Pig Slings, Sitka Arrowhead, Ape Defense, and B&T USA.
Their collaborations extend beyond SOLGW to include custom offerings from B&T and partnerships with Cloud Defensive for signature lights. Their product selection reflects their commitment to quality, featuring industry leaders like Defense Horizon, Noveske Rifleworks, Waverelay, FLUX, One Hundred Concepts, Unity Tactical, Black Triangle Group, Bravo 4, Cloud Defensive, Sitka, Alpen Design, and See The Night nightvision.
A Welcome to the Team
Every invoice from The Team Room includes the phrase “Welcome to the Team” a small detail that perfectly encapsulates their mission. For those transitioning from military service, this sense of belonging and community can be especially meaningful.
The shop’s commitment to service extends to their charitable efforts, particularly with child rescue services. They frequently provide equipment at cost to departments working in these critical areas, understanding that their high-quality, hard-use equipment naturally attracts law enforcement and military personnel.
Space Coast Range Day
Looking ahead, The Team Room is slated to participate in the upcoming Space Coast Range Day event, collaborating with Sons of Liberty Gun Works. They’ll be showcasing their signature SOLGW rifles and possibly featuring night vision equipment from See The Night, an Atlanta-based company they co-own.
This continued partnership with SOLGW demonstrates the loyalty and mutual respect that has developed between the two companies. As The Team Room’s founder puts it, they feel “a very loyalty-driven way towards Sons of Liberty for giving us a shot and going for the new guys.”
